“Experience Country Music History “Up Close” !
See over 35 Country Music Artists exhibits on display in ONE location!
As you tour the exhibits on display at the Willie Nelson and Friends Museum you’ll be taking a stroll through country music history. The museum is dedicated to Willie Nelson and more than 30 other artists who were the pioneers of the country music industry.
Ours is a very personal museum that has evolved over the years as a result of the many friendships established over the years with country music artists like Willie Nelson. We’ve also been very fortunate to have known (and know) the likes of Waylon Jennings, Webb Pierce, Porter Wagoner, Faron Young, Jeannie Seely, David Frizzell and many other country greats honored in the museum. Take a closer look at our new Waylon Jennings exhibit here!
Many of these stars used to come by and hang out with us (several still do) whenever their schedules allowed and we are happy to call them friends. Many have been kind enough to share some of their personal memorabilia with us to put on display for everyone to enjoy.
Unlike other museums, we also feature items belonging to some of country music’s greatest songwriters like Hank Cochran. Hank also happened to be a great friend of Willie’s. As a matter of fact, Hank and Willie were both songwriters for Pamper Music when Willie penned what was to become his first #1 hit – “Hello Walls” recorded by Faron Young.
Not to be outdone, Hank Cochran co-wrote his own classic with Harlan Howard around that time titled, “I Fall to Pieces” which was recorded and taken to #1 by the great Patsy Cline. Because without great songwriters like Hank and Willie, there would not be nearly as many great songs for others to sing.
